Hi Folks,
Here's just a quick reminder that if you want to get into the local paper. All you have to do is to show up at one of the local event's and paint. It seems to be such a unique way of capturing the event and most importantly it's so unique that that alone draws in people. So much fun to do as well.
Well, here's just a few pics and a few updates on the gallery movement. It's coming along. Ready to start painting in the primer! So Exciting!
Thanks for looking in!
Take care
Tom
Ps. Please don't forget about my Demo on June 10th at For Art's Sake Gallery in Richmond. More information contact Diane.....For Art's Sake Gallery

One Man Show over At Jack Richardson's Gallery this Friday!
Just a quick note, and sorry for not posting much lately, but I've been so busy that I haven't had time to even sit and think.
I am having an opening at Jack Richardson's Gallery in Onancock, Va
I visited his gallery back in July on my way to Easton, Md. and he saw what I produced and asked if I would show some paintings there this fall. Needless to say I am happy to oblige. There will be a reception at his gallery in Onancock this friday from 6=9 so please come out and support the arts!!
here's a bunch of paintings from the easel lately. Enjoy!

Rains bring me inside...
Hi folks,
I just wanted to quickly post a blog to keep folks updated and to post some recent paintings here. This week has been rainy here in Smithfield so it's kinda put a damper on Plein air painting. I still struggle to find time and places where I can still paint outside. Here is a few that I've had time to get out in between cloudy skies and days!
Have a great day!

Hi Folks, I want to let folks know who follow my blog that my workshop preparations have begun for 2013.Currently I am teaching a basic landscape class that is meeting every Monday afternoon at 4pm out of Blue Skies Gallery in Downtown Hampton. Blue Skies gallery is a wonderful place to teach with plenty of room to spread out and discuss my topic on color theory, composition, and value studies. Although this class is already underway, you can be put on a mailing list for my March class's which will be taught at the Chamberlin. Details are still being hashed out for this.We are also planning a workshop in April, still early in the work stages. Charles Talor Art Center in Hampton has inked me in for April 28, and May 5th. This class is deeply discounted and is only $50! so Call The center for more details. Charles Taylor Art Center,4205 Victoria Blvd, Hampton, VA 23669Many more to come so if your interested in getting involved, shoot me a line and I'll keep you updated!Spring is around the corner, so let's get out there and paint!Tom

Cooler days are upon us
Hey everyone, things are starting to get a bit chilly, paint is getting stiffer from the tubes, fingers are going numb while painting. At what point do you take your butt inside and get cozy? Push on through, is what I say! Everything good is only achieved from pushing through all odds to the final product!
Here are a few paintings done with numb fingers. I hope you enjoy!
