From the mountains of Wyoming down to the Hollars of West Virginia

Hi folks, I recently returned back to the gallery, back from a 4000+ mile road trip that took me through WV Hollars to delicious burgers in Cinncinati. From there along the Ohio to Ownesboro, Ky.  Straight through Nebraska to visit the famous Robert Henri's birth home in Cozad, Nebraska. Through the Wyoming plains and into the grand Teton national park. Trying to turn this into a painting journal as well and documenting for personal reference.

Here is a painting from Ohio. While visiting a very good friend the little ones wanted to go fish so I got out my paints, they fished I painted, all were happy.

From Ohio it was on to Owensboro Ky to wish my college roommate farewell to bachelorhood as he carried his bride away with resounding cheers. Here is one from the hotel balcony along the Ohio River

From there it was a beeline to Wyoming with a short stop in Cozad Nebraska where Robert Henri was born and raised until 15

Getting back to Wyoming was a refreshing trip with many great memories painting all over the state, namely my favorite Jackson Hole. Here's three I did in one day starting at sunup.

Oh I almost forgot...before getting to Jackson I passed through Bondurant,Wy and I have always wanted to paint this very small town so I stopped along the Hoback River for these paintings

This came from a photo reference that I did while at NIC fest in Casper Wy.
The journey home was faster because my back was in need of a soft bed. Rushing through WV is not advisable in the rain at 11pm! But the next day I stopped in Buena Vista for this scene

Home safe and sound with miles of rubber to clean out from in between my teeth. Thanks for going on this journey with me!! Take care!
